Tracy McCarty  

Practice Manager

Tracy has been with Rainbow Pet Hospital since January of 1991 when she started in the kennel. Tracy is now responsible for the day to day operations of the Hospital. She has worked with Bears, Cougars, and Wolves, along other wildlife before coming to work at Rainbow Pet Hospital. She is owned by two cats, Dude and Idgie.

She is an avid motorcyclist, and is on the Board of Directors of the BMWMOA. When she is not at work she is always doing something with her motorcycles. She loves riding long distance. Her longest ride to date was to Alaska from Kansas City by way of Maine. It was 19,177 miles over 2 1/2 months. She said it was "Epic". She also loves camping and visiting places that are off the beaten path.



Nate McCarty  

IT Data Specialist and Inventory Control Manager

Nate came to Rainbow Pet Hospital in 2014 to help with both systems and inventory control. He keeps things running while filling in as a receptionist or kennel technician when the need arises. He works closely with our vendors to help us get the best products and specials so we can pass those savings on to you.

In his spare time Nate enjoys working on his computer and tinkering in the garage with his motorcycle. He has four children; Glitch (cat 1), Harley (cat 2), Shatzee (white burrito dog), and Luna (small human).

Christina Tansey  

Animal Technician

Christina came to us from Brown Mackie College as an extern from the Veterinary Technician program March of 2014. She started full time in June. She is now our Lead Technician. She has a rescue dog named Halla, and two cats, Tupac and Venus. Both were orphans from Rainbow Pet Hospital.

She plays league softball and is a real Kansas City sports fan. She is an avid Geocacher and loves running. That said, she is quick to tell anybody who will listen, her favorite hobby is her niece Sofia who she absolutely adores.


Animal Technician

Stephanie started in 2014 as a Kennel Technician. She is a fast learner and likes the challenge of working in a veterinary hospital setting. She started as an Animal Technician in 2015. She has a rescue cat, Rupert, that she adopted from Maple Woods Veterinary Technician School.

She loves photography and enjoys hanging out with her friends when she isn't loving on Rupert. Her hobbies include Urban Exploring, Rock, Mineral and Gem collecting. 


Lead Kennel Technician

Brandon started here in 2016. He does a great job of running our kennel and keeping the hospital in tip top shape. He has two adopted rambunctious dogs, King and Beasly.

Brandon is a retired school teacher. His family of three wonderful children and wife of thirty years are extremely important to him. His interests include traveling to National and local soccer tournaments with his son, genealogy research, spending time with his grandchildren and family, four legged or otherwise.


Sue Corbett

Kennel Technician

Sue has been with us since the dawn of time. She is a true cat whisperer. She loves all animals big or small. 

Sue, who sings like Janis Joplin reincarnate, and her husband Mark have a band called Blue 88. They perform both locally and as far away as Daytona Beach and Sturgis South Dakota. Check them out. She also teaches guitar and singing.
